Yarnside Chats 001 - EASY Tubular Cast On

With the new issue of Knitcircus coming out today, I thought I'd post the video that appeared in the Winter episode here for all to see. You can also subscribe to my YouTube channel, which is where all the rest of the videos will go as they get published. I'm thinking about doing a few episodes just for the blog, just little tips for staying sexy! Anyway, here's the first one, which covers the tubular cast on:

Yarnside Chats 001 - EASY Tubular Cast On

My variation of the tubular cast on is a LOT easier than others you may have seen, so even if you're familiar with the technique you may want to give the video a looksie. This cast on is good for oh so many things!

You can catch Episode 2 over on Knitcircus' Spring issue, due out today at knitcircus.com. In it, I show you how Judy's Magic Cast On can be applied for more magic than just socks!

I'm giving away THIRTEEN spring pattern collections AND an entire year's subscription, courtesy of Knitcircus Magazine! Check the post just below this one to find out how to enter. Contest runs through the end of today. Tell your friends! :)

Knitcircus Giveaway!

Have you heard of Knitcircus Magazine?

Knitcircus Spring comes out tomorrow!

Knitcircus is an online, quarterly knitting magazine with a similar format to Twist Collective. The biggest difference between Knitcircus and Twist is that unlike Twist, which sells each pattern individually (usually around $7.00/each), at Knitcircus you can buy ALL the patterns in one issue for just $7.99. This offer is limited to the magazine's current issue, though, so if you see something you like you'll get the best bang for your buck by buying the entire collection because once an issue goes into archive, you'll have to purchase each pattern separately from its designer. Today's the last day to snag a Winter Collection, so if you haven't had a look at that one yet, click here to view the magazine or here to purchase the patterns.

Some of you have noticed that I'm hosting a series of videos for Knitcircus; the first one was featured in the Winter issue, and I have another one coming out tomorrow with the Spring issue. I also have a pattern in Spring!

In order to promote the magazine, editor Jaala Day has authorized me to give away THIRTEEN Spring pattern collections and ONE full year subscription! Here's how you can enter:

  1. Come join my new group on Ravelry! Once you're in, leave a comment in this thread and let me know.
  2. Tweet about the giveaway, mentioning @TheSexyKnitter and linking back to this blog post.
  3. Read Jaala's blog post about the Spring Sneak Peek, and leave a comment here guessing which pattern she previewed was designed by me!
We have lots to give away, so please do invite your friends to come participate, won't you? Good luck, everybody!
